After gaining advanced degrees in education, teaching in public schools, raising three children, and working in private industry, I became determined to complete a doctoral program in clinical psychology. I chose the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology because of the school's high standards and focus on the clinical aspects of psychotherapy.

The academic program, internships, and post doctoral experiences have provided opportunities to work in community mental health, a homeless shelter for adolescents, a domestic abuse center, a walk-in counseling center, and a university college counseling center.

In addition, I have experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests of intelligence, achievement, personality, and other specialties.  I have also administered and interpreted psychological tests for assessing Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Dementia characteristics, and eligibility for Social Security benefits.

Over the past 6 years, I was on the staff of an outpatient adult community mental health center in Davenport, IA. On staff were psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and nurse practitioners. We worked well as a multidisciplinary team for individuals presenting with a varienty of mental health problems. I am now in Ft Collins and working in a private practice.
